I am a pretty good shooter, but I want to be a better shooter. I have a basket set up behind my house. There is enough room to make a move or two then shoot, so what are some good drills to practice my shooting. I also need drills to help shooting from above my head. When I shoot now the ball is right in front of my face. I just need some good drills for better shooting.
Thanks.

Also, what other muscle groups are important when you use to shoot a basketball? Like how does lebron James shoot half court shots in the same jump shot form he would shoot within the 3 point arc?
www.perfectjumper.com. Perfect Jumper is a basketball training and shooting device that helps build the Perfect Jump Shot. We have one goal in mind, to help develop pure shooters in the great game of basketball. Whether you are a parent with a player in a youth league or a high school player searching for a Division 1 college scholarship practicing with the perfect jumper regularly will teach your body “the touch” needed to become a leading scorer. The perfect jumper helps to improve muscle memory and creates the proper hand to eye coordination. Both of which are needed to be a leading scorer. Simply put the Perfect Jumper teaches the art of the perfect basketball shot. The Perfect Jumper forces the shooter to aim for the center of the basket rather than the front rim. This shift in aim guarantees the satisfying swish as the ball hits the net, instead of bouncing off the rim. This innovative product has received “Thumbs-up” reviews from NBA stars Steve Nash and Carmelo Anthony, who both endorse The Perfect Jumper. Bobby Knight, the legendary coach at Indiana University and Texas Tech, now retired, has endorsed and speaks for the value of The Perfect Jumper as The training aid for the serious basketball player. See Coach Knight’s assessment of the value of The Perfect Jumper in the videos presentations on the Home page.

I have been playing for about 3 months and in that time have developed proper shooting technique, but i’m not as accurate as I would like to be. I shoot about 60% from the free throw line, which I know is unsatisfactory. I need to know ways in which I can improve both at shooting, and as a shooting guard in general.
So I want to learn how to dribble better with my right hand, but I can’t practice outside because it’s snowy where I live. So can I practice inside with a bouncy ball about the size of a basketball on my carpet? Will it still help my dribbling and ball handling skills at all if I do it this way
